Running out of guilt free snack ideas? This post is for you!

It’s easy to slip into an eating rut so let’s snap out of it and get creative. Here’s my Top 5 guilt free snacks – all for 150 calories or less:

 

  1. Salmon and Crackers: portion approximately 60g fresh sashimi grade salmon across 4 medium sized whole grain crackers, with ½ teaspoon of caviar on each cracker. Around 145 calories, 13 grams of protein.
  2. Prawns and cocktail sauce: 85g of cooked whole prawns dipped in 3 Tablespoons salsa or cocktail sauce. About 150 calories, 20 grams protein.
  3. Hard boiled egg on tomato slices: slice 1 x medium fresh tomato and one hard boiled egg. Top tomato slices with egg slices, season with salt and pepper. About 120 calories, 6 grams protein.
  4. Vegetables and hummus dip: cucumber, carrot and celery sticks with approximately 80g hummus. About 150 calories, 6 grams protein.
  5. Vegetable soup with low fat cheese: heat 250mL of low sodium vegetable soup and top with 30g grated nonfat mozzarella cheese. About 150 calories, 14 grams protein.
